HAPPY NEW YEAR!! We had a fun New Year's Eve with the zone leaders, Elder Reneer and Elder Jolley and the Nhlangano elders, Elder Rodgers and Elder Clawson, who were here overnight after bringing their truck to exchange with the ZLs and also doing a baptism interview with Zwakele, married to Bongiseni Nkambule in our branch. We ate and ate and played games.  They are SO hilarious!  We laughed all night!! I forgot to get pictures though!

Last night these four came over caroling to us!  They sang "Angels We Have Heard On High", each singing one note at a time! They are SO funny!!

I forgot to get a picture of our taco dinner but had to get this of Elder Clawson's plate
after he ate his watermelon! Haha! Ü

Elder Reneer doing the "whipped cream thing" with Elder Clawson, that ALL boys love to do!
(The whipped cream was left over from our apple crisp.)

The guys with "Grandpa" Wold just before they went home to bed!
(I think Elder Reneer is standing on his tiptoes! Haha!)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

They bought a few fireworks at SPAR and we watched them over the wall, out of our
bedroom window after they went home! This is how close their flat is to our flat! Ü

On New Year's Day, we picked up Amanda, in our branch, and went to visit a less active
member, Thabiso, and his girlfriend and their 3 week old baby boy Emmanuel.
We took a baby gift and brownies! Ü He is a CUTIE!!
They said they will come on Sunday and have him blessed! We HOPE so!

  1. I just got caught up reading your blog, after being gone 3 weeks. It looks like you had a wonderful Christmas New Years, and birthday and anniversary! A month you'll always remember, I'm sure! I'm always amazed at all the creative goodies, gifts, decorations, etc. that you create for the Elders, members and friends in your area. What a blessing you are to the mission! I'm sure the next couple of months are going to fly by! We had a long layover in Phoenix yesterday, and I thought about you being there very soon! :)
